Jim Lockwood oversees the company’s current and long-range business goals, continued innovation and technological advancement, and the implementation of Wind Tower Technologies’s projects.

Jim started developing Aero Solutions in 2000 in New York City and incorporated the company in 2002. Today, Aero Solutions is a wireless industry leader, offering customers proprietary and non-proprietary monopole and tower strengthening systems supported by technical, software, custom design-build services. The company has completed over 3,000 projects. Jim is a licensed professional engineer with28-years of experience in design-build, consulting engineering and product development, including 11 years in the wireless industry.

  • 1998: Founder/Owner of Comptek Structural Composites, a product development and manufacturer of advanced structural composite materials for industry.
  • 1988 to 1998: Principal in J. Muller International (JMI), establishing the firms Chicago and New York City offices. CEO of Egis, Inc., NYC, the US  subsidiary of Paris based Groupe Egis.
  • 1985 to 1988: Structural Engineer at Figg and Muller Engineers, Tallahassee, FL;
  • 1983 to 1985: Structural Engineer at Leonhardt and Andra Consulting Engineers in Germany, Research Engineer at SFB – 64  Lightweight Structures Group at the Tech. Univ. Stuttgart.

Jim has authored technical papers on bridges, towers, and large post-tensioned concrete structures. He was recognized by McGraw Hill’s ENR Magazine as a Top 25 Newsmaker. He graduated from the Univ. of Cincinnati and Univ. of Washington with a BSCE and MSCE degree in civil engineering and was a Research Fellow at the Technical Univ. of Denmark.

Jim enjoys spending time on the slopes and skied the Valle Blanche Glacier in Chamonix, France for six consecutive years when he resided in Europe.
